This week we have an exhibition at Ross-on-Wye Library.
You can see a selection of our members work from Monday 14th May to Saturday 19th May
during normal library opening hours. Most of the works on display are for sale.

Angela Palmer, one of our members, has organised an exhibition at Taurus Crafts, Lydney, showing work by members of her life class. The exhibition, called Life as we see it, runs until Sunday 27th May.

Another of our members, Anji Horlock, has her own exhibition in the cafe at Taurus Crafts,

About the Society

Founded in 1935 by a group of Forest of Dean artists before being reformed in 1965 by the then tutor at Lydney Art College, the object of the Society is the same now as it was when founded: to promote and encourage interest in the practice of visual arts as a vital part of everyday life.

We are an exhibiting Society. We do not hold meetings: we exist to provide ways for our members to exhibit their work at events that we arrange and at events arranged by others.

Members receive a regular newsletter with news about our events and other art-related activities in West Gloucestershire and the Wye Valley.

We have members working in all visual arts, including

  • drawing
  • painting
  • printmaking
  • sculpture
  • ceramics
  • photography
  • textiles

We are always pleased to welcome new members. For information on membership please see the Joining us page.
